About Al-Ansari Group
A privately owned Qatari group, built to bring long standing businesses under one standard.
One umbrella. One standard.
Al-Ansari Group is a privately owned company created to unify long standing businesses and practices under one umbrella, to ensure consistency of services and quality across its sectors and subsidiaries.
The group grew out of a single restaurant that opened in 1980 and still trades today. It thrives on innovation, creativity and consistency, growing within the State of Qatar and expanding within the GCC region.

Since 1980
King of Chicken opened in 1980. It was the group's first restaurant, the business every other part of Al-Ansari grew out of, and it is still trading forty five years later.
What we hold to
To own and build businesses in Qatar for long enough that the standard becomes the reputation.
The people behind the group
Abdulla Al-Ansari is the group's chief executive. Its food and beverage arm, Aurora Hospitality, runs twelve brands, a central kitchen, and hospitality services delivered with Grand Hyatt and Rotana. Under his leadership the group's brands crossed borders for the first time, opening Junior's in Amman in 2025.
Partnership, and the long view
The group takes long positions in the companies it develops and participates in its clients' growth rather than trading in and out of them.
Its acquisitions arm buys established businesses and restores their performance. It has done that through a difficult economy.
